Her parents were Peter Ingoglia, also known as the musician Teddy Stevens, and singer Eleanor McGinley. Connie was fond of her parents' stage name and decided to use it as her own surname as she grew up. Her parents divorced when she was young, so she had to live with her grandparents from both sides of the family. At the age of eight, Connie Stevens started studying at a Catholic school where she showcased her acting talent and extraordinary musical abilities. Her musical gift came in handy when she formed the group "The Foremost" and became one of the best vocalists.
